Hair extensions can add length, fullness, or both, but the right setup depends on your natural hair, your goals, and how much maintenance you’re comfortable with. At Planted Salon, extension appointments start with a conversation about what you want your hair to look and feel like, along with pricing, upkeep, and realistic expectations.
For new extension clients, Planted offers a 15-minute consultation so you and your stylist can talk through your hair, desired result, maintenance schedule, and next steps before committing to the service.
Planted also offers ongoing extension maintenance for existing clients, including one-row and two-row move-up appointments. Because extensions require regular upkeep, choosing a stylist and maintenance schedule that fits your lifestyle is an important part of getting a result that continues to look good between appointments.

Extension Consultations
New extension clients can start with a 15-minute consultation to discuss their hair goals, desired length or fullness, pricing, expectations, and ongoing care. This gives both you and your stylist a chance to make sure extensions are the right fit before scheduling a larger appointment.

One-Row Move-Ups
For clients currently wearing one row of extensions, Planted offers a one-row extension move-up for $150. This maintenance appointment is typically needed every 6–8 weeks as the natural hair grows and the extensions move farther away from the scalp.
Color services are not included in the move-up price.

Extension Maintenance
Maintaining extensions is just as important as the initial service. Regular move-ups help keep the extensions properly positioned while your natural hair continues to grow. Your stylist can also help you understand at-home care, styling, and when it’s time to schedule your next maintenance appointment.

Length & Fullness
Extensions can be used to create noticeably longer hair, add fullness to existing length, or help create a more substantial overall shape. The exact approach depends on your natural hair and the result you want, which is why Planted recommends discussing your goals with a stylist before beginning.

Two-Row Move-Ups
Clients wearing two rows of extensions can book a two-row move-up for $300. Like the one-row service, maintenance is generally scheduled every 6–8 weeks to reposition the extensions as the natural hair grows.
Color is not included with the move-up appointment.

Styling With Extensions
Planted also offers wash-and-style appointments for clients who already have extensions. A wash and style with current extensions is listed at $60 and can include a blowout, flat iron, or curls depending on the finished look you want.
